Suspect Sex: male; Race: white; Age: 35 to 45; Height: 5'10"; Build: medium; Hair: light to medium brown. On March 2, 1996, Alicia Showalter Reynolds' car was found alongside Route 29 in Culpeper County, Virginia. Alicia, a 25-year-old graduate student, was traveling from her home in Baltimore to Charlottesville, Virginia. Two months later, her skeletal remains were found 15 miles away from where her car was located in Lignum, Virginia. During the investigation, it was determined that numerous other women were "flagged down" by a white male driving a dark pickup truck while driving along Route 29. The man would attempt to get the women to pull over by indicating they were having car trouble. The suspect may have been wearing a flannel or striped shirt and blue jeans at the time of abduction and may have access to a small dark-colored pickup truck. Police need your help in the murder of Beach Teen Update!! A $9,000 private reward has also been offerred for the arrest and conviction of any individual(s) regarding this case! Police investigators need your help in reference to the murder of Mary Rachel Carson. On sunday, August 14, 2005 at approximately 6:09 AM, Virginia Beach Police, Fire, and Rescue responded to the 3400 Block of Newcastle Road. A citizen noticed a white female lying under a tree. Further investigation revealed that the victim, Mary Rachel Carson, was the victim of a Homicide. The investigation also shows that she was murdered sometime between 4 AM and 6AM early Sunday morning, August 14, 2005. Police are asking for your help in this case! POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN MURDER OF VIRGINIA BEACH MAN On September 22, 2005, at 1:32 a.m., Police and Paramedics responded to the 4900 block of Broad Street, near the intersection of Rose Marie Avenue, for a reported gunshot wound. Callers reported hearing squealing tires from a vehicle, followed by several gunshots. Upon arrival, responding officers found an adult black male deceased, lying in the roadway on Broad Street. Officers advised that the victim appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, which was no longer at the scene. As a result of the initial examination of the scene, the Department's Fatal Crash Team responded, and due to reports of gunshots, Detectives also responded. The victim has been identified as Paumer Anton James, 27, of the 5200 block of Richard Road. A preliminary autopsy concluded that James suffered injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, as well as a gunshot wound. Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in identifying any vehicles, observed departing the area at the time of the incident, with front end and windshield damage. Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP . Callers remain anonymous and could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward if their information leads to an arrest. Unsolved Homicide Cases Junior Bivins photo On November 20, 2001, Junior Bivins was shot at his residence in the 700 block of Camero Court in the City of Suffolk. The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black, male with short hair. Suspect possibly left in a burgundy Ford Taurus with Virginia tags. A second subject was operating the vehicle. Unsolved Homicide Cases Edward Duncan Campbell photo On January 9, 2002 a missing person report was filed on 19 year old Edward "Duncan" Campbell in the City of Chesapeake. Campbell was last seen on January 6, 2002 operating a 1987 Toyota 4-Runner pick-up truck, red in color. On March 08, 2002, Campbell's body was found by a man and his son, who were fishing in a small pond off of Nansemond Parkway in the City of Suffolk. Campbell's vehicle was found ten days later in the parking lot of Cherokee Apartments in the City of Portsmouth. Unsolved Homicide Cases Trevor L. Casper photo On August 24, 2002 a body was found by subjects walking through a wooded area in the 200 block of Buckhorn Drive. The body was identified as Trevor Casper, who was last seen on May 18, 2002 in the city of Chesapeake, where he was a resident. Casper had been reported missing by his wife. Three days after being reported as missing, Casper's vehicle, a 1994 black, four-door Acura Legend, was located in a wooded area of Northampton County, North Carolina. Unsolved Homicide Cases Erizik "Rudy" Davis photo Erizik Davis, age 76, lived at 6416 Townpoint Road, in the City of Suffolk. On Saturday, September 4, 1999 unknown suspect broke into his residence. Later that night an unknown suspect shot into Davis' residence. On September 7, 1999 Davis' family filed a missing person's report. On September 12, 1999 the victim's body was located in the truck of his vehicle behind a vacant residence on Townpoint Road. Davis' vehicle was a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina, black in color with handicap tags. The vehicle was reportedly seen in Portsmouth, Newport News and Virginia Beach between September 7 and September 12, 1999. Unsolved Homicide Cases Robert Madison III photo On September 5, 2001 the body of Robert W. Madison was located on Camellia Drive. Madison, a Suffolk resident, had been shot multiple times. Investigation revealed that the victim had been shot in the 4600 blk of Hardy Drive on September 3, 2001 and his body later moved to the Camellia Drive location. Victim had previously reported being robbed by a black female named June from Suffolk and two black males from Norfolk, Derrick and Derrick's cousin B. Taken during that robbery was cash and a rental vehicle, which was later recovered in Norfolk. Two black males were observed running from the location of the offense and getting into a dark blue or black Mercury Tracer. One of the suspects was described as 6'3", light skinned, wearing a black Raider's Jersey and carrying firearm. Unsolved Homicide Cases Germaine McPherson photo Victim, Germaine Jones McPherson was living at 1110 Commerce Ave. in the City of Chesapeake in May of 2001. Miss Jones was last seen alive near her home on or about May 1-2, 2001. The victim's body was discovered by a subject walking their dog in Bennetts Creek Park in the northern end of the City of Suffolk. The body appeared to have been there for a period of time. Unsolved Homicide Cases Melik E. Powell photo On November 10, 1998 Melik E. Powell was shot in a shopping center parking lot near his home. Powell died while in route to the hospital as a result of the injuries. The shooting occurred at the Whitemarsh Plaza Shopping Center in the 1200 block of Whitemarsh Road. Unsolved Homicide Cases Quincy Ward photo On June 19, 1999 at approximately 1:30 am Quincy Ward was attending a large party in the 200 block of Columbus Avenue. Ward was standing in the street near two cars talking with friends when witnesses report that some female party goers were arguing and a shot was heard. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no suspect description. Unsolved Homicide Cases Doris Purser Warren photo On December 04, 2001 at approximately 9:41 am, Doris Warren was at Meadowbrook Cemetery off of Shoulders Hill Road in the City of Suffolk. She was placing flowers at the grave of her parents, who are entombed in the mausoleum. A man entered the mausoleum and assaulted the victim with a knife. Mrs. Warren died three days later as a result of the injuries. The suspect is described as a white, male, six feet tall with a medium build, 35-40 years of age with curly, salt and pepper colored hair. Unsolved Homicide Cases Shelly Williams photo On November 1, 1999 a Suffolk police officer discovered the body of a female on Duke Street in the downtown area of the city. The body was unable to be identified by the methods typically utilized by most police agencies. A Virginia Beach Police Department sketch artist volunteered to do a facial reconstruction of the woman. The victim was identified in May of 2000 as Shelly D. Williams, age 19, a South Hampton Roads resident who worked at a local mall.
