On February 23, 1997, a motorist observed a vehicle parked on the grassy area off the shoulder of the Southbound access road of IH 35 South near Luckey Rd. This motorist observed a male in the vehicle who was slumped over in the driver’s seat. The motorist notified police, and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded. The victim was identified as Joseph Quintanilla. Mr. Quintanilla was self employed as a horse jockey and had just finished racing at the nearby Mendiola Downs on the night of his murder. Mr. Quintanilla had died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

Capital Murder - Bexar County Sheriff's Office Case Number 02-6328
Maria Martinez was last seen alive during the late morning hours of Friday, January 18th, 2002. Martinez had been sighted at the Wells Fargo Bank located at the corner of S.W. Military Drive at New Laredo Highway. Martinez was driving her maroon and gray colored Mercury Villager mini-van, Texas license plate number K75-RMN. The vehicle had a handicap decal on the rear view mirror.
Tuesday, January 29th, 2002, the body of Maria Martinez was found in a wooded area off the 8500 block of Loop 1604 South approximately one mile South of U.S. Highway 90 West.

Capital Murder - Bexar County Sheriff's Office Case Number 99-45500
The body of then 32 year old Erin Mead was found in her bedroom during the late morning hours of Tuesday, August 24th, 1999. Mead was found stabbed to death at her two story home at 18731 Red River Trail located in north central Bexar County, Texas.
Mead was last known to be alive during the late night hours of Monday, August 23rd, 1999. Mead had just recently separated from her husband. She shared the home with her two young children who were asleep when the incident is believed to have occurred.
No physical evidence was present at the crime scene to suggest the killer(s) forced their way into the home.

This incident took place during the early morning hours on October 23, 1991. On this date at 12:55 a.m., Bexar County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 5525 Lochmoor #1, San Antonio, Texas for a shooting in progress. A deputy arrived to the scene and found the body of Lonnie Miller with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses claim that there was a struggle inside the apartment and gunshots were heard. A description of two black males getting into a small blue vehicle was seen driving away from the scene at a high rate of speed.

On 11-09-87 at 11:07 hrs, The partially decomposed body of an unidentified female was discovered on the side of Pue Rd. in a wooded area approximately 1/2 mile from FM 1604, on the east side of the roadway. There were indications of a sexual assault. The unknown victim died as a result of multiple blows to the head with a blunt object. It appears that the victim was not killed at the body’s discovery site. The victim’s whereabouts prior to her death have not been established. The victim has not been identified. She is a white female between 25-30, 130 lbs, red hair, blue zip-up jacket w/hood, white and gray pull-over knit sleeveless sweater, dark blue bra, black shoes, one ear ring in left ear (black oak leaf design).

On Thursday, August 5, 1993 , 24 yr. old Alex Hernandez (AKA Richard Fernandez) was with a group of friends at "Brewski’s" between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. Witnesses said they all got into a Chevy Blazer at the nightclub and drove off together. This was the last time he was seen alive. Approximately 4 hours later, at 7:20 a.m. , the body of Alex Hernandez was later found on the ground/street on Beauregard Road , which is located in Northern Bexar County .

80 year old, Jack Adams was last seen alive on 09-27-1993 around 12 noon. on 09-28-1993, The victim was found murdered, lying on the ground, outside OF his residence AT 10377 Wolf Rd. in Macdona, Texas. Discovered missing was the victims wallet, which was reported to contain a large amount of money. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $5,000

Natalie De Leon was described as a 16 year old Madonna look alike and a chronic runaway child who frequently attended the "Tripper’s" nightclub and would stay late at the club at times. Apparently, Natalie and a group of friends traveled to Canyon Lake one early Sunday morning during a summer month of 1985. On their way back, their van broke down on a long stretch road off of Highway 46. Natalie was seen getting into a vehicle, unknown van or truck, then drove off in the direction of San Antonio. Natalie was reported missing and was never seen or heard from again after that trip. Approximately 6 months later, on February 13, 1986, the body of Natalie DeLeon was found at the 8300 block of Cagnon Road.

Murder - Bexar County Sheriff's Office Case Number 85-27959
Mary Medford, 14, was last seen alive leaving her parents house on Friday, May 11, 1984 wearing a yellow sweat shirt and blue jeans. Mary Medford attended Southwest Jr. High School and was reported missing on May 13, 1984 . A search for Mary had negative results and her friends did not know where she could have gone. Mary had been missing for approximately 15 months and on August 29, 1985 , late afternoon, the skeletal remains of Mary Medford’s body were found in a shallow grave off of S.W. Loop 410 between Pearsall Rd. and Ray Ellison Rd. The death of Mary Medford was ruled a homicide and her cause of death was listed as head injuries.

On August 26th, 2000 at approximately 6:00 p.m, the 64 yr. old female victim, was traveling southbound on Pleasanton Rd approaching the intersection of Trumbo Rd. in her white 1995 Chevrolet Corsica. The victim was witnessed swerving from one side of the roadway to the other, possibly having a seizure. She reached the 20000 block of Pleasanton Rd when she nearly hit the suspect’s vehicle head on. The suspect was driving a red late model sports car possibly a Pontiac Grand Am or Hyundai Tiburon or similar style vehicle. Suspect made a U-turn, sped up and passed witnesses then pulled up along side the victim’s car. The witnesses then heard two shots then the suspect’s vehicle drove on to Loop 1604 headed west. After the shots were fired, the victim’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a stone fence. There was a bullet hole located on the driver’s side door. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, early 20’s, short wavy or curly hair, and medium build. The victim was admitted to the hospital and later passed away due to her injuries.

SUMMARY: Case agent and other C.A.P. personnel were called out to 9960 McCombs #5-I at the Tiffany Apartments reference a homicide. The deceased was found by apartment personnel. She was lying face down and had been stabbed. The area was canvassed several times and each time did not produce a witness. Family members, co-workers and close friends were interviewed and also failed to provide the investigation with any solid suspect. Several suspects have been interviewed and eliminated via DNA, Latents, etc. The family has been kept abreast on all matters pertaining to the investigation. The case was presented to FBI Profilers in June 2000.

SUMMARY: The victim was found by an acquaintance at approximately 8am in the 5700 block of East Yandell. His body was found outside of his house in the front yard. The victim had been stabbed. The murder took place in a business/residential type area. There are only 4 houses in the entire block and the rest of the buildings are businesses. The area was checked for witnesses and evidence. Due to the fact that there are mostly businesses in the area, no witnesses were found. The only evidence found was a shoe print that was sent off to the FBI to be checked. The only items found missing from the scene was possibly a telephone and the victim’s wallet. The wallet was later recovered about ¼ mile from the scene.

SUMMARY: The deceased was discovered dead in her residence in the 2800 block of Lake Champlain by her husband. The deceased had called her place of employment at approximately 0840 hours and advised that she would be running late, but did not give a reason why. The deceased’s husband tried contacting the deceased several times by phone and when she did not answer, he left his place of employment to check on her and discovered her dead in the bathroom. The deceased had been brutally beaten about the face and body. It appears that the deceased was confronted by her murderer as she was exiting her residence as she was found with her purse and car keys. Point of entry and point of exit was through the garage door as it had been found open by the deceased’s husband. The residence showed signs of a struggle, but no property appeared to be missing.

SUMMARY: On 05/26/89 the victim was found in the elevator in the Timberwolf apartments located at 1500 Timberwolf. The victim was found stabbed. It is believed that the murder did not occur in the elevator. There were blood drag marks leading into the elevator. The initial crime scene was never located and the murder weapon was never recovered. It is known that the victim and her sister were at a nightclub the night of the murder. They left the nightclub and walked home. They were picked up by an unknown male driving a copper colored camaro and were dropped off close to the apartments where they lived. They started to walk home and the sister walked ahead of the victim as the victim had taken off her boots and was walking slow. The sister made it to the apartment and waited for the victim to arrive. The sister eventually fell asleep waiting for the victim. A search of the apartment complex met with negative results. The identity of the driver of the car was never determined.
