She had several apparent stab wounds to her body. In addition, the medical examiner had determined Mrs. Wessell’s had been strangled. There was a witness who lived on Mrs. Wessell’s property behind her home, however he was unable to provide an identification of a possible suspect. Age / Sex / Race: 39 / Female / White Location of Homicide: Approx. 2 miles on Bear Swamp Rd. off Johnson Rd& County: Worcester Date / Time: 9 / 9 / 1989 Cause of Death: Strangulation Details: On the above referenced date and time, the body of Ms. West was located on the side of the road next to a swamp. Her partially clothed body was discovered by individuals riding dirt bikes. In addition, her vehicle was also present at the location of her body. It was alleged Ms. West may have been involved in the drug trade. Age / Sex / Race: 17 / Female / Black Location of Homicide: Shoulder of roadway, Rt 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway) quarter mile north of the Washington, D.C. line& County: Prince Georges Date / Time: 9 / 5 / 1972 Cause of Death: Strangulation Details: On 09-05-1972 Diane Williams failed to return home. At 6:30 AM on 09-06-1972 a motorist noticed the body of a female on the shoulder of the roadway and notified police. On 09-06-1972 the father of Diane Williams reported her missing to the Metropolitan Police Department Washington D.C. Autopsy revealed Ms. Williams had died of manual strangulation. Age / Sex / Race: 24 / Male / Black Location of Homicide: 100 block of E Railroad Ave, Hebron& County: Wicomico Date / Time: 1 / 13 / 1997 Cause of Death: Shooting Details: On 01-13-1997 7:45 AM a friend came by the home of Terry Mac Wood to feed dogs. Wood was alive at that time. The friend returned at 5:00 PM to feed the dogs and found Mr. Wood deceased in an upstairs bedroom. From investigation, it appeared Mr. Wood was shot while standing in the area of the front door. Age / Sex / Race: 27 / Male / Black Location of Homicide: Maryland House of Correction, Dorm H, Box 534& County: Anne Arundel Date / Time: 2 / 1 / 1995 Cause of Death: Stabbing Details: On 02-01-1995, 5:00 PM inmate Mack Young walked past a cell and appeared to be having problems breathing. Another inmate summonsed aid. Young was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of a puncture wound to his lung. The wound appeared to have been made by a shank. Young failed to identify his attacker(s) while conscious and able to do so. Investigation failed to obtain sufficient evidence for trial. Lorraine (nmi) Zimmerman Case #: P-64-04364
Age / Sex / Race: 15 / Female / White Location of Homicide: Wooded area off Reno Monument Road, 3.6 miles South of Boonsboro& County: Washington Date / Time: 4 / 6 / 1984 Cause of Death: Strangulation Details: Lori Zimmerman had ridden the school bus home from high school 04-06-1984. She had stopped at a friend’s home for about 10 minutes then left. Ms. Zimmerman did not come home that evening. Friends were contacted and they denied having seen Lori. Lori’s mother filed a missing persons report with the Hagerstown Police Department. On 04-14-1984 two persons walking in a wooded area off Reno Monument road discovered the partially clothed body of Lori Zimmerman. Death was attributed to manual strangulation. Gladys Faye Beauchamp On October 11, 1989, the body of GLADYS "FAYE" BEAUCHAMP was discovered in a wooded area located off of Crain Highway near Oak Manor Drive in Glen Burnie, Maryland. "Faye" was the victim of a homicide. FAYE BEAUCHAMP was a white female, 37 years of age, weighing approximately 105 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair. Faye was known to ride the #14 MTA bus from Patapsco Avenue and Hanover Street to the corner of Crain Highway and Aquahart Road. Faye would board the bus at approximately 6:00 a.m. She would then walk to the North Arundel Convalescent Center by way of an asphalt walkway that extends from Aquahart Road to the Hardees restaurant in the Southgate shopping center. Faye would then walk to the convalescent Center by way of Hospital Drive. On the morning of October 11, 1989, at approximately 6:10 a.m., Faye was murdered while walking on this path. The case is still open and is being actively investigated by detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department's Homicide Unit, Cold Case Squad. Investigators in this case are interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen Faye either on the bus or walking to work on October 11, 1989. Victim: Sandra Knight Berkey age 23 at the time of her death. Police Case 1974-045687 On July 2nd, 1974 the body of Sandra Berkey was found in her apartment located in the Marley area of Anne Arundel County. A co-worker found the victim after she failed to show up for work for two days. Sandra Berkey was known to frequent a gym in the Glen Burnie area of Anne Arundel County and was employed with an insurance company. Pamela Lynn Conyers On October 20, 1970, the body of PAMELA LYNN CONYERS was discovered in a wooded area located between the eastbound and westbound lanes of Maryland Route 177 extended, which at the time was under construction (currently Route 100 near the Waterford Road/Route 648 overpass). PAMELA LYNN CONYERS was a white female, 16 years of age, 5' 2" tall, weighing approximately 105 pounds. On October 16, 1970, Pamela attended the homecoming bonfire/pep rally at Glen Burnie High School. Later that evening, Pamela drove her family's 1967 Dodge Monaco to the Harundale Mall in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This is the last place that Pamela was seen alive. Victim: Neal Charles Fitze, 43 years old at the time of the murder. Police Case 1995-743618 On October 27th, 1995 at approx. 1:07 a.m. the victim Neal Fitze was found inside his vehicle parked near the emergency room at North Arundel Hospital.
