CALGARY -- Searchers failed to find a trace of a Calgary teen who's been missing for two days, despite the efforts of dozens of people involved in the hunt for the missing 15-year-old.
Acting Staff Sgt. Tam Pozzobon of police District 7 said yesterday they were looking for 15-year-old Caitlin "Kate" Sharpe, who disappeared early Sunday while on her way home from a friend's place.
"At this point there is nothing to indicate foul play or anything like that," Pozzobon said.
Sharpe was last seen walking home from a friend's house in the Silver Springs area around 6 a.m. Sunday, but cops are at a loss to explain why she never made it home.
As many as 40 volunteers from the Calgary, Cochrane and Foothills Search and Rescue teams were out in force yesterday, along with police officers and members of the Calgary Fire Department.
