Mounties in central Alberta investigating the suspicious death of a 20-year-old woman are looking for witnesses.
RCMP Red Deer reports the woman was struck and killed by her own car, a 1999 gold-coloured Pontiac Sunfire, sometime during the late evening hours of Wednesday in a rural area in central Alberta.
Police seized the car at the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a 20-year-old man used it to drive the woman to the emergency ward Wednesday night. She was pronounced dead on arrival around 11 p.m.
The man who drove her was arrested at the hospital. As of last night, he had not been charged with anything. Police say the man knew the deceased, but they were not "in a relationship."
Mounties say the car has extensive front-end damage.
