Wade, Dennis R., 47, on August 13, 2002, at approximately 4:00 am. this man was sleeping on the porch of 423 West High Street. He was awakened by the feeling of something being poured onto him. He was then set on fire. Mr. Wade was taken to a local hospital and would expire from his injuries on August 21, 2002. Mr. Wade left behind a grieving family that needs answers to this brutal murder.

Hall, Teresa L., 26, on July 22, 1989, at approximately 3:20 am. Mrs. Hall was standing on the front porch of 37 West Euclid Avenue. There was an argument going on between family members on the porch. Suddenly, a shotgun blast rang out. Mrs. Hall was struck in the head by the blast and died instantly. Mrs. Hall left behind a husband and young daughter. This case has remained open since that July morning.

Taylor, Anita, 20, On October 29, 1966, at approximately 1:35 am. Mrs. Taylor was found on her bedroom floor at 415 Ludlow Avenue. Mrs. Taylor was found by her husband as he returned from work. Mrs. Taylor had been severely beaten and appeared to have been raped. Her 18 month old baby was in a separate bedroom and was badly beaten. The back door of the residence was ajar. The baby would later recover from his physical injuries. Mrs. Taylor was pronounced dead of her injuries upon arrival at a local hospital. Mrs. Taylor’s family needs closure to this brutal tragedy.

Kilby, Donald, 39, on March 15, 1994, around midnight Mr. Kilby was gunned down at 1934 Superior Avenue He was shot in the stomach area. Also shot was William Bailey, age 18, of Dayton. Bailey would later recover. Donald Kilby died at the scene. Mr. Kilby left behind three children.

Davis, Norman L. “Pete”, 52, was shot and killed on October, 16 1980, at approximately 5:40 am. Mr. Davis had just arrived for work at the Bonded Oil Station at the corner of Limestone and McCreight. He was preparing to open the store for the day. Apparent would-be robbers approached Davis and shot him with a 12 gauge shotgun killing him instantly. Mr. Davis left behind a wife and four children. Springfield Police are still investigating this case.

Dean Jr., Eugene G. “Bubby”, 18, was found near the railroad tracks at Park Avenue and Lagonda on October 4, 1983. It first appeared as though he had been hit by a train. An autopsy would later reveal he had been brutally beaten about the head and torso. He was last seen by his family on October 3, 1983, at approximately 10:00 pm. Mr. Dean left behind his wife and his future.

Chance, Denise R.,18, was abducted from her Springfield residence at 3140 Erter Drive on January 7, 1985, between the hours of 1:35 am and 5:50 am. Ms. Chance’s body would be recovered on March 20, 1985, in a drainage ditch off Baldwin Lane in Clark County. Ms. Chance left behind a heartsick family, looking for closure in her death. If you have information about this case, please contact the Springfield Police or The Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Hickman, Arthur "Darrell", 30, was found shot to death on December 20, 1981 at 118 ½ West Southern Avenue. At about 7:30 pm two emergency phone calls were received about a shooting at that location. At about 7:41 pm, officers kicked down the door at that residence and found the victim lying in the stairwell, with a gunshot wound to the head. Two black males were seen running from the area at approximately 7:20 pm. This case can be solved with some assistance from the community.

I was wondering with all the bodies found at or near mad river if this could possibly be a serial killer , has anyone heard anything about this possiblity?

Hmm, I've not heard anything like that. But its a huge possibility. I could always ask my parents if they have heard anything. They live in Columbus so... BTW, welcome to the board!!! #biggrin#
