Good news Sher, the little girl has been found!!!!
Child found, S.A.R.A.A. alert cancelled By Bill Bryan ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH 01/01/2006
The 1-year-old girl was located in a vehicle on New Halls Ferry Road by St. Louis County police officers and a Bel-Ridge detective, and is is good condtion. Police cancelled the S.A.R.A.A. and AMBER alerts just before 5 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect, also the father of the girl, is still being sought.
Previous story:
Authorities were looking Sunday for a 1-year-old girl who was abducted from her home in Bel-Ridge by her father.
A SARAA alert was announced at 10:15 a.m., as police agencies throughout the metropolitan area were told to be on the lookout for Nahsha (cq) Dovovan, who was last seen in her father's green 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. The car's Missouri license plate number is 098-YEZ.
Authorities said the girl's father, Michael Donovan, 19, broke a window about 4:45 a.m. Sunday and entered the apartment where his daughter lived. Donovan allegedly struck the girl's mother in the face before leaving with the baby, authorities said.
Donovan later called the baby's mother and said he would not be taken alive, that he would shoot any police officer and that he would be leaving the St. Louis area, authorities said.
