WEBBS CROSSING - Four days after he went missing, there is still no word on the whereabouts of Lemar Robinson.
The 16-year-old left his grandmother's home at about 11 a.m. Friday, traveled to Rochester and returned to Hornell at about 4:30 p.m. He hasn't been seen since he was driving down Church Street after dropping his cousin, Stacie Shutt, off.
Bath-based state police have issued a press release, but said this morning there was nothing new to report and no tips had been phoned in.
Lemar's grandmother, Mary Shutt, also said this morning she had not heard any news. She and Lemar's parents, Terri Shutt and Johnny Robinson, hung flyers throughout the area Monday. Terri and Johnny also traveled back up Rochester to look for their son, Mary Shutt said.
"We're still praying he's OK, we don't care why he might have left," Mary Shutt said. "If he could just call home to let us know he's OK.
"If he went back up to Rochester, who knows, someone could have gotten in the car," she added. "We're still looking."
Mary Shutt said she had gotten a call from a woman in Arkport who spotted a boy in the park at about 3 p.m. Monday, but he didn't match Lemar's description.
Lemar was last seen wearing patched jean shorts, a white T-shirt and white sneakers. He has a medium brown complexion, is 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds, and has short brown hair and brown eyes.
He was operating a four-door, pear-green 2004 Chevrolet Malibu with a rear Georgia license plate 844RYC. The front plate has a gold Chevy logo in place of the license plate.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Shutt at (607) 324-1940, or the New York State Police at (800) 252-0820.
