I'M PUTTING THIS ARTICLE IN HERE BECAUSE I WAS JUST FLOORED WHEN I READ IT. TOUGHER LAWS NEED TO BE BROUGHT IN.
OTTAWA -- Fondling a 10-year-old girl in a park has netted a man four months of house arrest and three years on probation.
Steve Peever pleaded guilty to assaulting the girl while she played with friends at the park in June 2003. Peever was pushing his two children on a swing when he offered to push two other girls on the swing.
They declined and went to another part of the park, and began to play a game where they pretended to faint. The court heard that Peever went up to the girl when she "fainted" and ran his hand up her leg to her underwear.
She told him to stop but he kept touching her.

Yes this "man" is free. Unfortunatly, in Canada, the punishments for crimes is just crazy. Too many people commiting crimes and not doing the time, and if they are, its like a slap on the wrist. Changes definitely need to come to Canada.
