Homicide, June 21, 2001, Laramie County, Wyoming
: On June 21, 2001, an unknown male suspect shot Mr. Kamai to death on West College Drive approximately 75 yards west of the South Greeley Highway. Mr. Kamai and the suspect may have been involved in a traffic dispute at the time of the murder.
Based on witness information, the department is continuing to look for three possible vehicles used by the suspect: a small black pickup with an older white camper shell, the pickup had gray primer spots on the passenger door and possibly on the passenger side; a small red pickup with a white camper shell; and a normal-size black pickup with gray primer spots on the passenger door and possibly on the passenger side.

Homicide, February 1, 2000: Homicide, February 1, 2000, Platte County, Wyoming:
Homicide, November, 1999 to February 1, 2000, Platte County, Wyoming: On the morning of February 1, 2000 the body of Camilo MORENO, age 35, was discovered near the Grey Rocks Road approximately 8 miles east of Wheatland, Wyoming.
Mr. MORENO suffered multiple stab and cut wounds. All identification had been removed in an attempt to conceal his identity. Preliminary investigation indicates his body was dumped at the location where it was found and was there for a period of several weeks .
Mr. MORENO was a resident of Westminster, Colorado and was reported missing in November, 1999. His car was found near Castle Rock, Colorado just off Interstate 25 in November, 1999.

Homicide, June 4, 1999, Platte County, Wyoming:
Homicide, June 4, 1999, Platte County, Wyoming: On June 4th, 1999, the body of Larry PETERSON, age 52, was discovered fatally wounded at a cabin located approximately fifteen miles west of Wheatland, Wyoming on Palmer Canyon Road.
The investigation has disclosed Mr. Peterson was shot and killed on the evening of June 4th, shortly after arriving at the cabin.

Homicide, August 30, 1997, Lincoln County, Wyoming: On August 30, 1997, the body of Robert Lee THORNOCK, age 41, was found in Strawberry Creek in Lincoln County, Wyoming. THORNOCK escaped from the Cache County Jail in Logan, Utah in February, 1997. Missing Person, July 24, 1997, Fremont County, Wyoming: On July 24, 1997, Amy Wroe BECHTEL, age 24, disappeared while jogging the Loop Road area between Lander and South Pass in Fremont County, Wyoming. Her car was found parked along the road. An extensive search of the area has failed to yield clues as to her location. Amy Wroe BECHTEL is a white female, 115 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. Homicide, June 26, 1996, Crook County, Wyoming: On June 26, 1996, the body of Mary Virginia WEBB, aka Mary GARCIA, age 19, was found in a culvert under U.S. Highway 212 in Crook County, Wyoming. She had suffered three (3) gunshot wounds to the head. WEBB was a resident of Wenatchee, Washington and was traveling to Conway, Arkansas. WEBB was last seen in Billings, Montana and had been reported missing by her family on June 13, 1996. Homicide, April 13, 1992, Sheridan County, Wyoming: On April 13, 1992, the decomposed body of an unidentified female was found near mile post 5 on the west side of Interstate 90 in Sheridan County, Wyoming. The body was that of a white female, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5'5" to 5'6" inches tall, approximately 110 pounds in weight with brown hair. No identification was found with the victim who appears to have died from a blow to the head. The victim was clothed in blue jeans with a white belt, a blue and white checkerboard short sleeve blouse. A gold post-type ring was in her right ear. No shoes or other personal items were found at the scene. Homicide, July 13, 1990, Sheridan County, Wyoming: On July 13, 1990, the body of Jackie Lee MCLEAN, age 47, was found near mile marker 27 on the east side of Interstate 90 in Sheridan County, Wyoming. He had been shot eight times in the head. MCLEAN was last seen in Rapid City, South Dakota on July 8, 1990. He had left Rapid City for Hill City, South Dakota. Homicide, October 18, 1988, Jackson County, Colorado and Carbon County, Wyoming: On October 18, 1988, the victim was found on Platte River Road, East of Colorado State Route 125, approximately 17 miles north of Walden, Jackson County, Colorado. The victim had multiple gun shot wounds to the chest, back and a single gunshot wound to the head. Subsequent investigation indicates that the victim may have been killed in Carbon County, Wyoming and the body left in Colorado. No identification was found on the body and attempts to identify the victim through missing persons, fingerprints, photographs and information flyers have been unsuccessful. The victim is a white male, 140-150 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 21 to 31 years of age. Homicide, May 3, 1987, Laramie County, Wyoming: On May 8, 1987 at 6:14 p.m., Everitt C. SYFERD, age 84, was found dead in his home at 1910 East 14 th St. in Cheyenne, WY. Mr SYFERD was found lying on the floor just outside the bathroom in the Northwest corner of the living room. A metal scoop-type shovel was found with blood on it and is believed to be the murder weapon. SYFERD died of blunt trauma to the head. The phone line had been cut and pulled out of the wall. The phone company reported that a call was made at 5:47 p.m. on May 7, 1987, could not connect. SYFERD was last seen alive by relatives on May 6, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. No money was found in SYFERD's house or his wallet which was found in a pair of pants in the kitchen. The only other thing missing from the house was a round leather flip-open type coin purse. Homicide, May 12, 1984, Teton County, Wyoming: On May 12, 1984, Jon William RICE, age 26, was found in his residence located in the Twinberry Condominiums on Highway 390, Jackson, Teton County, Wyoming. Jon RICE was bound and had a single gunshot wound to the head. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence. Missing Person, August,1985, Sweethingyer County, Wyoming: In August, 1985, David Vernon Lovely, age 19, was riding a maroon 1978 Model 1100 Yamaha motorcycle bearing California license 8N3477 fitted with saddle bags and a luggage rack, was traveling from California to Massachusetts with his family.They became separated in southwest Wyoming Lovely was reported to be carrying about $150 in cash at the time of his disappearance.Lovely is described as a white male, 6’ 4” in height, 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has surgical scars from extensive childhood kidney surgery. He was last seen wearing a three button white pullover polo type shirt, brown cotton pants, and sneakers. He also had a green army jacket along with a red nylon jacket. Homicide, June 21, 1984, Sublette County, Wyoming: On June 21, 1984, Lisa Miles EHLERS, age 27, was found next to her car at a road side pull out next to the river on Wyoming State Route 189 between Hoback Junction and Pinedale, Wyoming. She had been shot twice with a handgun, once to the head and to the chest. Personal items and money were left at the scene in the car. The car was in park and the engine of the car was left running. Lisa EHLERS was a resident of Jackson, Wyoming. Lisa and her spouse had run a restaurant in Jackson. She was on her way to Florida. Homicide, October 21, 1983, Teton County, Wyoming: On October 14, 1983, a car belonging to Eric James COOPER, age 23, was found abandoned at a liquor store in Jackson, Teton County, Wyoming. On October 21, 1983, Eric COOPER was reported missing. On August 14, 1986, his body was found by hikers near Signal Mountain Summit Road and the Teton Park Road junction. This is approximately 45 miles North of Jackson, Wyoming. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the head, had been wrapped in plastic and buried.
